KC Engineering is currently accepting resumes for entry-level Structural Design Engineers at our Ankeny, IA location.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with client and other design professionals.

• Design steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural elements and systems for a variety of projects.

• Compile neat and organized calculations and computer-generated output for internal review and submittal to client at completion of project design.

• Perform job site visits for measurements and structural observation.

• Review building component submittals and shop drawings for conformance with contract documents.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (w/ emphasis in structural) or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Those possessing Master’s degree will be given special consideration.

• Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.

• Must have a good work ethic and willingness to learn.
